Questions on The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas?
What is a good passage from the novel that kinda explains the book??
Also, what are some themes and can yu explain them? I know one of them is love verses alienation. Idk how to explain it and I can't think of anymore.

This is my favorite book of all(:
Hmm . . . it's hard to find a passage that explains the whole thing but try the part where the Abbe unravels the reason Dantes went to prison (it's near the beginning). It sets him on his path to vengance.
Some themes, let's see . . . try these:
Revenge vs. forgiveness. Basically in the beginning he could think of nothing but revenge. Then near the end he regrets Villefort's son's death and believes he might have gone too far. And in the end he learns to forgive them and himself.
Power vs. Powerlessness. The balance can tip if you know how to play it (that's my opinion)
