Esoteric Order of the Golden Dawn?
I'm interested in this Order, but before applying, I need to know if this Order has any benefits or is kind of a fraud organization.
So please if any of you is or was a member, let me know some details (positive or negative) about it. Anything will help, as long as you are talking from experience, or from a friend's experience.

I've been a member of the EOGD for a number of years now. The EOGD is dedicated to healing works and the magic of light. Although they offer long-distance initiations, physical initiation in a Temple is always the preferred route. This Golden Dawn order has a heavy emphasis on the Christian mysteries, so if you are thinking about joining, you should have some comfort level with Christian structures, even if you don't profess the faith. Upon becoming a member, you will have access to an incredibly powerful magical current. This latter point alone justifies initiation.
There are many absurd rumors about the EOGD, mostly perpetuated by a separate Golden Dawn order which is antagonistic to a number of other orders in the tradition. There are no blood sacrifices or nefarious rites. The EOGD is a not-for-profit organization, and its fees are competitive with standard Masonic fees.
